The classifieds are kinda clunky (can't edit after posting and the title script gets all messed up and doesn't let captial letters be grouped together without spacing and staying all capitalized). Needs work, but it works well enough and uploading images is easier & faster!

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but can I ask how you dealt with the issue of the 2 lines entering the caliper...did you get the special junction block fabricated or did you devise another way? Also, what year/model Volvo did your calipers originate from. Thanks!

Thanks for trying!

New pistons L18 and L20B, Schneider L4 camshaft
OgreZL24 replied to OgreZL24's topic in Datsun Parts For Sale
Sorry, I forgot to put prices & location: $250 ea for the L20B piston sets, $200 for the L18 dished std pistons, $500 for the L18 Arias pistons, $125 for the Schneider camshaft...I don't know the specs, the only marks are the ones shown on the nose and there is a letter "B" stamped on the back. I'm in San Diego, California 91945 -
I have 2 boxes of oversize L20B pistons and 2 boxes of standard L18 dished and pop-up Arias pistons. Also available is an L4 Schneider regrind on a stock internally-oiled camshaft. The rear journal has very faint scoring; barely perceptible when felt with your finger. It won't affect anything, ask your machinist. Hi I have a bunch of Datsun of Parts I'm selling. I'm into Z cars mainly, these parts were obtained from a collection of mostly Z & Roadster stuff. I thought I'd post it here before I threw most of it on eBay. Obviously I'd like to sell to enthusiasts primarily and I don't know what much of the stuff is for...some have part numbers, some don't; some parts are new; some have been in storage a while but not ever used; some parts are used. Feedback is appreciated on what it is and if I get more info on what some of the unknown parts are, that person will get a good deal on the part if they want it. I have some photos posted, here are links http://www.flickr.com/photos/90175897@N07/sets/72157632798368401/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/90175897@N07/sets/72157632798355819/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/90175897@N07/sets/72157632803219136/

Road Warrior wrote: "...Do you mean L-series four banger? L4 is a generic term for any inline four cylinder engine. http://en.m.wikipedi...iki/Inline-four Thanks for the replies...it still doesn't clarify much, but it's more than I knew before. I was referring to a Datsun L-series four cylinder engine when I used that term ("L4"), to distinguish it from an R, U, A, J, CA or Z series motor. I didn't bother to open the Wikipedia link, but I thought "I-four" or "inline 4" was the generic way of denoting a four cylinder--to me, L4 has always meant an L-series Datsun 4 cylinder overhead cam motor which first appeared in the Datsun 510, as it's called in the US market. I know the manifold will fit an "L4" cylinder head, but I just wanted to know is it meant for 1600 Roadster SUs, or those smaller flattop SU carbs I've seen here & there on other Datsuns running non-US spec carburetion? My fault for taking a picture of the crank casting upside down, I thought it was M90, not O6W. If I'm correct, a Z22 crank will work in an L20B block?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/90175897@N07/sets/72157632204490892/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/90175897@N07/sets/72157632204192292/ These were found in a hoard of Roadster, 510, Z car and other L series Datsun parts. An L-4 or maybe a Z series cranshaft, but which one...L16, L18, L20B, Z22, Z24 ? Dual SU manifold which appears to have the bolt pattern for Roadster 1600/R16 carburetors Anyone in Ratsunville have a guess?
