  1. Found while screwing around on Instagram. Randy Rhoads (guitarist for Ozzy) only ever had 3 vehicles in his short life. 2 of which were these Datsuns.
  2. Could this possibly be the worst sighting oic of this thread? Another pdx spot.
  3. Grand & Morrison in PDX
  4. I realized that after I took the original out lol. Whatever bracing the screws went into came loose. Ill remount the original bracket later on because this mirror sits too high and the original just looks cooler.
  5. Finished the sound deadener. Took the door panels off and cover the entire inside of the doors as well and man it makes a huge difference but its still a lowered 521 on wider wheels so there is still quite a lof of road noise but it is a noticeable difference. Im sure once I get the carpet in that will help a little too. Added a horn button delete plate as I was tired of the button falling off. My roadrunner horn and train horn buttons are hidden under the dash anyway. Ill have my woman print me up a Datsun sticker or something to put in the middle of the delete plate cuz it looks too blank. Installed a new rearview mirror Ive had laying around for 10 years. I kept the crusty original for as long as I could but it could no longer hold the mirror itself so it was time to replace it. Unsurprisingly the bolts were rusted in place and broke the second I tried to remove them. Then had to do a celebratory run to Joes donuts on my only day off. Hopefully 5 speed swap and rear main seal repair next.
  6. Lets try some sound deadener. Ordered one more box cuz I ran out. Had a partial box a friend had left over from his 510. I wouldnt mind getting different seats at some point like old Bronco buckets or something. The 521 made it out of a shooting unscathed. Was at a car show and some idiots decided it was the perfect place to have a gang related shootout. Had to duck in front of a 55 Chevy that got hit by gun fire. Was gonna be pissed if they hit my windshield or wheels. Lol. Anyway, I have new black carpet on the way as the old carpet was trashed. I know I need to put some deadener up where the headliner is bur my headliner is in tact and I dont want to ruin it, but I know deadener will help a lot up there. What to do..
  7. Probably fell into it. The same way I ended up being a truck driver and have to pickup 3,400lbs of dildos from the dildo factory in Portland. Seent in Portland
  8. Seent in Portland. Someone save it! I already have too many buckets and not enough time or money.
  9. So the train horns are the Flatlaw kit from Hornblasters. Its a lot of fun. I dont know if I ever posted it in here before, but my regular horn is from a Roadrunner, the classic meep meep horn. I added an air hose to the tank so I can use it for on board air if needed. I also got these etched windows I will install at some point. Its been so hectic lately and I cant keep up with everything life is throwing at me. One day we will get there. Also, I got a Futofab adjustable upper alternator bracket like 8 years ago that I never installed. Went to use it with this alt swap and it was about 1/4" too long.
  10. Well, I had a turd of a morning the other day. Went to go to work and my Escalade had a flat. No problem, Ill take the Datsun. I get 10 min away from the house and the lights start going dim for a few seconds, then theyd come back. So I turned around and went home to grab my 98 Chevy. Anyway I started reading up on the internally regulated alt swaps, and it seemed easy enough. Tested voltage before the swap and it was all over the place. So I did the swap as I had a 720 alt laying around. Tested steady after the swap and everything works just a little better. The compressor for my train horns fills up much faster than it used to. Wish I wouldve done this swap a long time ago.
  11. Funny you mention Affordable Classics. That used to be Kellum Datsun back in the day. Also for those who might be interested in that 510 at Lot 99, that dealer is the worst in Oregon, possibly the whole PNW. Avoid at all costs.
