  1. Finally found me a manual gearbox for my 210. Decided to go with a 4 speed for the time being until i can find me a 5 speed. I found the gearbox, driveshaft and flywheel. I already have the pedal assembly and the master cylinder slave cylinder and line that came with the pedals(thinking about if i should buy new ones).

    So on to the questions...

1.where can i find the correct flywheel bolts?

    2. is the starter for the auto and manual different?

    3. Where can i find the stock b310 shifter boot?

    4. Can I use the stock auto crossmember?(Cant seem to find one for the manual box)

    5. How hard is it to wire up the back up lights n inhibitor switch by the clutch pedal

Pretty sure ill have more questions as time goes on...

  2. No the carb kit comes with a block off plate for the egr. The vent tube just remained open...didnt block it off. I took off quite a few parts...i dont remember what they all are. But the instructions says what you have to remove. I happen to have a Haynes manual for my car too and that really came in handy.

  3. I did mine a month ago. Everything that has a vacuum line has to be disconnected n capped off. The only line that goes on the new carb is the vacuum advance line from the distributor. My car is desmogged now

  4. Update on my car...got my jdm front end on. Rear bumper brackets are being fabbed now. Got my fender mirrors on and my turbine wheels with new rubber. The car is coming along nicely. Next on the to do list is install my Weber carb and do a smog delete, wire up my tach, cut a coil on each corner to drop it a lil bit and new 2 inch exhaust. Also have to install my new stereo headunit. May put it in the glovebox

    😄 Someone will want it.

The adapter plates ALWAYS come loose so loc-tite them

Ok will be sure to do that. That carb looks like it'll be a PITA to get off. That's what I'm a little nervous about. BTW those webers run straight outta the box don't they? It's a 32/36 fyi

  6. Anyone know how hard it is to get the stock bumpers off? I got some jdm ones that im dying to put on my car along with my other jdm goodies. Also any tips for installing a weber carb? My car is a Cali spec so its has all the emissions crap on it

FWIW....I have put 60 series trannys in a 1200 without too much jickyness. I would think if you are going from auto to manual the mounting should be close.

I have a 60 series 4 speed laying in the shop and also a 60 series 5 speed, do you need pics? Both of these trannys came out of 210's

Yeah man show me some pics!!

  8. So I'm doing a manual swap soon on my 79 210. Having a hard time finding a B310 5 speed box...keep finding 4 speeds. But I did find 2 B210 5 speeds on car-part.com so Im wondering what would I need for it to work in my car. I know it bolts right up but I know they are different from the regular 60A box.

Okay how and where did you get those bumpers!?

Got them from some guys on FB. Check out Datsun Club UK...there's always ppl selling datsun parts on there. The guy who I got my rear bumper from has 2 left and is from Malaysia. The front one I got off a guy in Portugal. You can also check Datsun Parts and Cars for sale UK

  10.

Update...well I started buying up stuff for my 210. Got me some JDM fender mirrors, bumpers, bumper lights with amber lens, grille and front side marker lights(some of em are still en route). Also bought a 2 inch cherry bomb turbo muffler, a set of 14 inch hurricanes wheels(still gotta get tires n lug nuts) and my buddy Enrico hooked me up with a manual pedal box. Cant wait to start installing all these parts. Will be gathering more parts for my manual swap. Hopefully I can find me a 5 speed box or I'll have to settle for a 4 speed..Here are pics of some of the parts i bought
