Description

Price adjustment: CAD$2000 (USD$1500) OBO; I want these gone so I can move on with life. Would rather they go to someone who can put them to good use, otherwise I'll have someone pick them up for scrap at the end of May/early June.

Hi all;

Due to life changes, I need to part with my Dattos.

I've owned both for ~17 years; bought the black one (MY70, July 1969 build date) first, then the red parts truck (either MY71 or MY72; can't recall) about a year later.

Black one was running until parked in storage about 6 months after I bought it (Summer 2008-ish). My plan was to build it with a 12A rotary engine (engine from a 1984 Mazda RX-7 w/ ~50,000km on a rebuild and 4-speed automatic from a 1986 RX7 are included). I started stripping it down but only managed to pull out the interior and wiring before life took over. I haven't worked on the truck in 10 years, and haven't even had a chance to get over to it in about 6 years, so it's time for it to go to someone who could actually use it. That said, the pictures are from the last time I managed to get out there (August 2018), so there's a good chance that some kind of critters have made their home there now.

Due to the mid-'69 build date, the MY70 has the J13 engine and manual transmission (and I believe 4.88 final drive ratio). The parts truck was purchased without an engine, but (if I recall correctly) the frame and body panels had just been refinished, and it came with a whole load of parts; I can't remember exactly what's there, but there's left and right doors and fenders, hoods, bumpers, lights, dashboards (520 metal and 521 vinyl), instrument clusters, and a gas tank (just to name a few).

MY70 is registered in my name. Parts truck had registration papers signed by the previous owner, but I never intended to have it on the road so I never registered it; I'll include the papers if I can track them down, but I'll include a bill of sale regardless.

Asking CAD$2000 (USD$1500) for everything, but make me an offer. Not splitting anything, no holds without a non-refundable deposit (garage is currently used for storage and I have to clear stuff out to get access, so this covers my time in case of a no-show). Priority will go to whomever can show up with a trailer soonest (seriously, bring a trailer or two, you'll need them).

Shoot me a message for more details.
