AverageJoe
Hello I am new to this platform but not new to wrenching. My 12 year old son loves the 720s and we picked up a completely rust free one today. I am looking forward to learning a lot. Do you guys have any recommendations where to start or any helpful tips. Thank you. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Welcome. Not much to go on so first I would replace all the lubricants and filters. Engine oil.......... Shell Rotella T4 10w30 or if never freezes there 15w40. Wix or NAPA Gold filter just about anything but Fram! Transmission.... 2 liters GL4 80-90w or DEXRON if automatic top up. Differential........ 1 liter GL5 80-90w Brake fluid......... DOT 3 Steering box...... Power steering fluid What are your plans for your 720? 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
I suggest long smoky burnouts. Followed by a diff replacement. Has the truck been sitting a long time? Depending on how long it's been inactive, it could need a whole ton of work to get back on the road. Advice - if it has been sitting, don't cut any corners or it will end up costing you.
