1966 520 How hard is it to put a 66 roadster engine in it?

Hi: This local guy has a 520 with a datsun roadster engine in the bed of the truck. How hard would it be to 

put this engine in. I assume I would need the datsun roadster tranny or maybe not?

Anything can be done but this pegs the meter on difficulty. You're trying for an easy fix and there isn't one. There's a very good chance you'll get to a point where you realize you can't go any further but the truck is so modified you can't go back.

 

You will need the roadster transmission and if this is the U20 the transmission is monstrous big and I doubt it will fit the floor without cutting.

 

Hone and ring your J13 call it good.
