BatDad
Hi I am new to the forum and well new to car rebuilding in general... LOL I have had this truck since i was 14 and when I was 18 I dropped a blue printed V6 in it and well I am sure it will blow out the rear end once it try and go... SO what rear end could I get away with putting in this truck.. I think it has 4" drop blocks on it and I don't plan on racing it but well you know how it goes.... lol also not sure 100% if this is a 520 or a 620.. Quote Link to comment
Bleach
That is a 521 truck. The rearend back there can work with around 200hp just fine. The Buick V6 might be ok. If you were to put on really wide and sticky tires and then try launching hard often, then yes, in that case you might end up breaking something. The narrow tires you have on the truck now will likely just lose traction long before gears are pushed to their breaking point. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
H-190 is good for up to 285 ft lbs torque. Agree with the rear tires being a limiting factor, sort of like a fuse. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
