My name is Carlos , took me a minute to log in but I think it worked , been years since I’ve been on here, I was on here as Datson4life, I continue to play with datsuns, currently have a 73 610 wagon sr20det on bags and all prettied up, and a tired stock 82 720 4x4 with 620 thousand miles, believe it or not seems to have all the original engine components, I just got it back from my brother, it’s been in the family for a while, I am looking for info on front drive shaft from gear box to from diff, it got jacked while in tijuana, I found one off an 83 I assume dimensions and length is the same but wanna verify with my ratsun experts before purchasing as seller doesn’t state measurements.

Some time around '82/'83 the 720 4x4 drive shafts were made larger and also the yokes that hold the U joints.

I will probably take measurements and get one made at a local driveshaft place if I don’t get specs from seller

If there is a difference perhaps get the companion flanges or yokes. I changed my primary DS the one between transmission/Transfer case, to the larger one and just unbolted the flange and tapped it forward and off with a large heavy socket. Maybe 30-50 taps but it slides off the splines.
