Parking Brake Lever Return Spring

Truck is back together with all new front suspension.  Makes a difference.

Brakes are much better with greased brake cable housings

Is it possible for this spring to be weak?

Also, do the 521 Rear brake cable  & housing fit the 320?

The spring can be weakened by rust, but those look fine. More likely that rust and gunk buildup inside the cable housing is causing drag.

I hang the cable vertically soak the one end with penetrating oil, then work it back and forth for a long time, and spray it down and let it hang overnight for the oil to seep down inside. That may help, or may not...

I finally gave up and pulled them. Turns out that there was a fray inside the right side housing.   Having new ones made.
