Moisture in distrubitor

Hey all,

 

Long time missed you all. Life has been crazy. 

 

Extracted the bolt weeks ago and got the truck running. I was working on it recently and I noticed I have what seems to be oil or some type of liquid in the distrubitor. Wondering what can be a quick fix or associated problems with it. I'll post a picture in the morning.

Does it affect starting and running?

 

No.... shrug.

Yes... Spray the inside of the cap with WD-40. (the WD stands for water displacing)

It's not in the cap but the actual distrubitor. I'll take pictures in the morning. And long time mike hope all is well

Hello.

 

Lower down may be oil. They are lubricated by chain oil splash from below but can't be much and it has to work it's way up the shaft.
