jesusno2 Posted December 13, 2008 Report Share Posted December 13, 2008 We have a 2002 taurus sel 24 valve. Anyways the headlights in this car blow ass I just about crashed tonight. I really need some brighter lights (or I'm getting blind) so I'm looking at the high wattage type 9007 bulbs 80/100 I read this can possibly melt my shit. I'm wondering if this car would benifit from a harness kit with relays. I have not found hardly any info on this subject anyone here possibly know?? Quote Link to comment

yello620 Posted December 13, 2008 Report Share Posted December 13, 2008 Almost all new cars have the headlights on relays from the factory, Open the hood and see if the relays are labeled on the relay box lid. I dont think that ford labeled the lid, but i think that i says in the owners manual. The melting problem is generally the plastic headlight lense. Quote Link to comment

jesusno2 Posted December 13, 2008 Author Report Share Posted December 13, 2008 I really am sceptical over those bulbs I put silverstar bulbs in that car. what a waste of money I think they are worse than the factory ford bulbs. anything saying "hid" make me worry lol I don't see any ballasts in my car so I doubt they would be any better than what a have now.
