Cannon intake - throttle linkage

Do I need to drill and tap the manifold for the throttle linkage?  

 

It looks like it goes here.  

 

 

 

My current intake has it bolted up in a place that won't exist with the cannon

be honest do you really want to go thru with taking all that apart cause look like you go the other style exhaust manifold????Esp if you have the heated intake from the exhaust manifold. the stove pipe type to heat the intake so in winter the carb dont freeze. If in Calf I wouldnt worry about it

 

This will look cleaner but I highly dought you get even 3 hp out of this

Then I'll assume my first question is yes I need to drill and tap.

you see the link there is no need to drill and tap

just put the bracket over the 2 weber holes and put the nuts on to hold down then fish thru the throttle cable and lock it

Thanks guys.  I've got that new bracket on order 

 

A lot of my truck is turning out to be more half-assed than thought.  So certain simple mods are more work than they should.  And I wasn't sure about the drilling because the stock linkage on mine is obviously a hack setup

be honest your hack set up is not that bad. maybe paint it and it will look ok. But Im not into drilling in tapping if there is a part to fix it

It's not my setup thankfully it's inherited.

 

I'll clean it up when I swap manifolds.  I ordered that part you linked.  But in my eye it bolted to the intake not the carb base.
