My old rear sliding rear window latch and lock is wore out.I finally decided to replace it all.Luckily Nissan still has all the parts for sale. You can get a after market one on Ebay cheaper but it doesn't come with the shims and it might not fit.So I am getting all new Nissan parts including the screws. They are on the way. Here is what make's up the parts. Here are the shims, you need 2 of them.I did not buy from this site that the picture's are shown.I have never bought from them.Shipping is way cheaper where I get my Nissan parts in the U.S.A.https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/parts/nissan-shim~79727-01g10.html?vin=&make=Nissan&model=720 Pickup&year=1985&submodel=&extra1=&extra2=&filter=(1=K%2fCAB;2=Z24;3=DX;4=F5;5=LONG;6=4WD;7=CAL)    Here is the lock...https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/parts/nissan-lock-bk-window~79724-25w00.html?vin=&make=Nissan&model=720 Pickup&year=1985&submodel=&extra1=&extra2=&filter=(1=K%2fCAB;2=Z24;3=DX;4=F5;5=LONG;6=4WD;7=CAL)   Here is the striker...https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/parts/nissan-strikr-bk-wndw~79725-25w00.html?vin=&make=Nissan&model=720 Pickup&year=1985&submodel=&extra1=&extra2=&filter=(1=K%2fCAB;2=Z24;3=DX;4=F5;5=LONG;6=4WD;7=CAL) Here are the screws...https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/parts/nissan-screw~08520-41290.html?vin=&make=Nissan&model=720 Pickup&year=1985&submodel=&extra1=&extra2=&filter=(1=K%2fCAB;2=Z24;3=DX;4=F5;5=LONG;6=4WD;7=CAL)

After I ordered them from Nissan.I realized that two parts are not available so I went and ordered the after market complete latch, but they don't come with the shims. That is the piece that goes up against the outer glass to seal it.The part that connects to that on the out side of the glass that the screws go into is not available no more.So I  ordered the after market one which has the complete sets except the shims. Here is the part that is no longer available. My parts are now in Macon,GA.They should be here tomorrow. The screws are a day behind them. My  phillip screw heads are stripped out.https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/parts/nissan-plate~79726-25w00.html?vin=&make=Nissan&model=720 Pickup&year=1985&submodel=&extra1=&extra2=&filter=(1=K%2fCAB;2=Z24;3=DX;4=F5;5=LONG;6=4WD;7=CAL)Here is the set I ordered from Ebay,it has been sent today. It is from China. It will take a little longer to get here.I am getting everything from Nissan but the rear piece that holds the inside parts on.My whole part is loose.https://www.ebay.com/itm/394355230340.I will take it all apart when the screws come in Saturday and see if them back pieces are useable till I get the part from China.Their is a used one on Ebay but it is missing the shims.Don't want a used one. This site,Shipping is super fast and cheaper than other Nissan sites.Bought many parts from them. https://www.courtesyparts.com/.Shipping was 5.46 and no taxes. The China tap plate look as they have built in shims to seal it from leaking.Check them out. This price list below is the parts I am getting from Nissan. They are out of Texas. They ship super fast.I bought a few fuel pumps from them.Still have a new one in the box. Also bought 2 fusible links from them. One is still new in the plastic wrapper.Nissan is tricky sometimes when they show parts. One of these parts is showing screws, bet they don't come with it.Some of there parts have changed to a different part number. The striker part is showing 2 parts  and screws in the picture, bet it only has one part and no screws. The other part that it shows with is discontinued,Check it out.https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/parts/nissan-strikr-bk-wndw~79725-25w00.html?vin=&make=Nissan&model=720 Pickup&year=1985&submodel=&extra1=&extra2=&filter=(1=K%2fCAB;2=Z24;3=DX;4=F5;5=LONG;6=4WD;7=CAL). I will show you what I got tomorrow.

My window latch parts came in today from Nissan. The screws will be here Monday. Here are the pictures of them.Nissan does not have the tap plate.Mine may be usable but I do have the set coming from China. The parts picture's you see in the Nissan Parts Deal.com site are not always right. One picture showed it has 2 screws and the tap Plate with the striker. All it came with is the striker. They mislead you.The screws are sold separately. The last picture shows what Nissan Parts Deal shows. The tap plate is the one farthest to the right.2 are needed and they are the same.

I bought 2 sets of rear window locking latches. The Nissan set does not have the tap plates to hold the parts on the window. That is why I bought the set made in China,The tap plates will fit the Nissan parts. It cost me 29.15 for the China one's so I would have the 2 tap plates, which means I have 2 extra parts. The China tap plates do come with shims. You have to buy them separate on the Nissan one's.That is what seals it from leaking in the holes in the window.I would recommend getting the one's from China cause you get all the parts and it's way cheaper.I will install the China one's and see how they fit. They look like they have the same measurements. But they did ship from California. So it may not fit.Newsome might of did something to them.In the pictuS8KD8IL.jpgre at the top are the China one's,even gave me a screw driver.China did give me a extra screw.I like the texture on the Nissan one's.

Here is the old set I just took off.The shims are bad as you can see,and one hole in the tap plate is cracked.I am going to get some pliers and squeeze that hole and put some epoxy glue on the outside to bring it back together.Other than that, they are still usable. Then I will put the new shims on them. They look good for 38 years old.n4pijQA.jpgByqohBr.jpg
