i also have a 74 b210 and the rear end was shot. by the time i added all the parts necesssary to fix it and trying to find them was another ordeal, i simply got another rear from a newer b 210. just something to consider.

Just swap the whole center section "pumpkin" from a 1971-1973 B110 or 1974 B210 in there. It will be cheaper and certainly easier, someone has one for free. The side bearings rarely go bad unless the diff runs low on oil.

Backlash spec is 0.0039 to 0.0059 inch.

I've heard of people having trouble finding the spacer. Have you tried Nissan?

* 38165-H1001 SPACER-DRIVE PINION BEARING $17.00

* 38154-G04xx WASHER-ADJUSTING DRIVE PINION $3.83 USD

Where xx = 00 through 17 for different thicknesses

Yes, B110 and 1974 B210 center section is identical. You could also swap a 1975-1978 pumpkin they say you need a 2mm spacer between the pumpkin and the housing.

All the B210 housings including 1974 have larger outer axle bearings.

The procedure for replacing the spacer is very complicated. Be sure to get the factory service manul.

FWIW The H-145 was used in the B-210 till Aug. '74. From Sept. '74 the H-150 rear was used. The 38154-G0400 crush washers ggzilla mentions were used in both. Weather an H150 will fit the H-145 axle housing I don't know. The axles were the same pt. no. for both types.
