D4F air gap adjust

what screw to adjust the air gap on D4F distributor? it's currently larger than .40.

There were lots of D4F distributors with points and EI. What's this for????

 

Points are 0.018"-0.022"

 

If an EI distributor, the gap between reluctor and the pick up coil is 0.008" - 0.016" OR  0.2mm - 0.4mm . Loosen the 2 pick up mounting screws and adjust, then tighten them.

thanks. B210 EI D4F. I know the gap requirements but was maybe being too ginger with the pickup coil after loosening the screws, as it wasn't moving. http://datsun1200.com/modules/mediawiki/index.php?title=D4F

You could oval the holes to get the adjustment, but shouldn't need to.

 

The distributor part number defines year and application much better than just D4F. It's stamped into the case on the side. Ten numbers beginning 22100-?????

22100-H7680 B-210 A14 '78 Federal, D4F7-01 remote igniter distributor.

Federal emissions 08 '77 and up for '78 model year. Often the distributor can be swapped.
