i cannot for the LIFE of be remove the front bumper. i want to take those fog lights out and paint the bumper, but i cannot get it off! please help :)

 

edit, is it in the haynes manual? do the fenders have to come off?

No, the fenders don't have to come off. But you do need to unbolt the bumper from the fenders (the ends have a bolt through the fender). If it's original you'll break the bolt. Sorry.

yeah, the bolts that go on the valance (can't get that off either) has 2-3 snapped bolts in it. im going to have it welded back together and molded. im planning on getting the front air dam from PCD and molding it onto that. want to get it somewhat respectable before i order the dam...

there are also 2 bolts on either side bolting the bumper brackets to the frame

You also need to remove the rear bumper at the same exact time they are spiritually connected

Step 1, take what ever wrench you're using (better if its a big one) for the job, and hit yourself in the head really hard.

 

Step 2, loosen and remove the 6 bolts holding the damn thing on.

 

Step 3, if you still cant figure it out, repeat Step 1.
