Payco Posted May 19, 2020 Report Share Posted May 19, 2020 (edited) Hi My 510 is coming home to me this week so I don't have it to measure but can someone tell me the diameter of the valve cover breather hose as I am removing my stock air filter, and fitting some conical filters and therefore need a breather filter too. datzenmike Posted May 19, 2020 Report Share Posted May 19, 2020 You may notice gas and oil smells in the cabin if you do. This is part of the PCV system and it's closed so fumes don't get out but are drawn into the carburetor(s). Myself, I would stay with the stock system as it works, but if I did, I would run a hose from the valve cover down by the starter and put the filter on the end so fumes go under the car. datzenmike Posted May 19, 2020 Report Share Posted May 19, 2020 I went out and measured one. 0.635" and there is a bead around the end to make the fit tighter. It's roughly 5/8"and just over 16mm. I wouldn't go smaller because of the bead on the end of the pipe. 1 Quote Link to comment
