datzenmike Posted March 25, 2020 Report Share Posted March 25, 2020 Try some injector cleaner in the gas first. The injectors are different but not sure what the difference is. Swapping the entire TBI seems reasonable IF the 720 ECU is compatible with the newer injectors. 1 Quote Link to comment
Mtrcr Posted April 19, 2020 Author Report Share Posted April 19, 2020 I did the injector cleaner, But I don’t think that’s the trouble anymore. I had some wires hanging by a single thread going to a little control box looking thing mounted on the coil bracket. Soldered them back together and I’m able to use full range of rpm now(before was limited to about 3k rpm). But what happens now is the first drive of the day I have full range, after I shut it off and restart it is limited to 3000 again. Some times if I shut off and start again I’ll get it back but it’s gotten worse. I pulled the codes: 11, 23, 24(not worried about unless that can limit rpm) and 43. Quote Link to comment
