710
Anybody got it fixed for when the key doesn't turn the ignition switch on anymore enough to engage the starter? You know what I mean worn out. As a result I have to let the switch hang down from the steering column and activated independently with a key or flat blade. Then also when I go to turn the car off when I grab the switch it feels hot sometimes Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The key barrel? Flush it out with WD-40. Then get that ignition switch back in properly. Last thing you need is to stall in an intersection with a truck barreling down on you while you fumble and drop your screwdriver.... again. I did this once, only. Ahh it's good enough to go around the block I said. What can go wrong? The back part with the wires, flush with electrical contact cleaner. 2 Quote Link to comment
tr8er
You might have broken the metal tab that sticks out the back of the key portion, into the switch portion. I don't have a fix, I bought a push button switch upgrade to replace the whole thing Quote Link to comment
