strutwagon
so i am trying to troubleshoot the vacuum system on a 1983 B210/310 1.5L wagon and i came across this part: http://imgur.com/SR2OkLi...some kind of vacuum regulator/controller? you can clearly see the cracked housing. it connects via a small diameter vacuum line around the back of the engine bay to this selenoid: http://imgur.com/6XEX6gA ...which i am not sure of what it is either! wondering what it is and if the crack in the housing makes any difference in function.just for good measure, here is a pic of the unidentified part from further out: http://imgur.com/fx8sNdSmany thanks everyone! datzenmike
Someone will know. Maybe some vacuum operated throttle opener? My '76 B-210 had a switch in the speedometer. Anything over 10 MPH it was on. When slowing down in gear and you hit 10 MPH the engine idle would drop suddenly. It was an emission thing. Do you have air conditioning? This would boost idle speed when the compressor is on. . Quote Link to comment
bob3d
Yes its for the air conditioner. Quote Link to comment
