MattC280Z
Shot in the dark here. But after much looking and missing a few chances to get an SD22 to put in my 620. I found a guy selling a couple SD22s. However they are being used as a power supply for a farm generator, or some type of pump. My question is can these engines be used? Are they made any differently than one that say came out of a 720? I'm fairly certain I'd have to fab a wiring harness and I've read on here how troublesome that can be. Would it be worth it to use these engines or should I wait and get one from a 720 ? Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Pretty sure the injection pump is different. These generator/pump motors are really only designed to run at 1 speed. Quote Link to comment
wayno
I am sure you likely could make it work, but it won't be easy. I would hold out for a automobile engine. Have you ever driven a 720 with an SD22 engine, they are 61hp, nothing like your turbo engines, not even close, I don't believe you will be happy with the power. Quote Link to comment
