Shaggy620
Hey everyone. I know there's conversions out there, but I'm not sure which one is correct. Can anyone stear me in the right direction? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Type "620 disc brake conversion" into the search function. Let me get that for you.... http://community.ratsun.net/topic/20432-disc-brake-installed-on-a-drum-brake-truck/ There are many ways to do this. Read everything first, find out what's available for you in your area. Know all the things needed and what you want. Research, research, research. Also find out about if you need a larger master cylinder, and brake bleeding. You should know that there is nothing wrong with the 620's 10" drum brakes. They are made to stop a heavy 620, plus it's load, so in most cases they are quite adequate as they are if.... in good condition and adjusted. The only advantage of having disc brakes is almost zero maintenance, no adjusting and replacing the pads is just a few minutes or work. Yes they have more fade resistance when heated up but you will never drive it hard enough to get that hot on public roads. Quote Link to comment
