xHighOctanex
Hey guys, I took a break from the KA swap in my white truck because I was given another truck. Well it was a project and it is pretty much done and I have gotten it to move but it is not running right at all. It will startup and run at first fine, once you give it gas you have to hold it at full throttle (which sounds like barely 3grand) just to keep it running, I tried spraying carb cleaning in the carb while doing this to see if it wasnt getting enough fuel. My exhaust coil is bad, but to test I unplugged the exhaust on the white truck and it started up and revved up. With the black truck if it runs fine, it's for like a moment then to get it to move you have to full throttle and ride the clutch then it just like idles forward at full thottle. Any help? Lockleaf
Carb issue or vacuum leak would be my primary suspects. If it sat for very long at all, start with a new fuel filter though. Quick, cheap, easy. Quote Link to comment
xHighOctanex
So the problem was timing, it made sense but it didn't start dieseling so bad until I tried to drive it. Everything has been worked out. Quote Link to comment
