agentalpha
Wuttup? Bought my Z finally, a SOLID 1973 240z. I am looking for a 2.8 and a 5 spd. Looking mfor a P79(or so) block, with flattops. With the N42 head I have, will give me @ 10-1 compression. Found some at pick your part in hayward, but they are way too high on price, esp with the work and effort trying to get a motor out of their yard. Bastards charge 2 bucks just to walk in as well, then "no comprende" :fu:when you ask anyone for help... Link to comment

agentalpha
Hayward, CA 94544 Yeah, some injectors found their way into the intercooler off a SC T-Bird. Glad they did, as the guy quoted me $150 for all the stuff, and after 2 hours, and a rounded bolt, they jacked me for $250. Felt like walking away, but after all the BS, and how CLEAN the rotors were on that M90, I just bought it. Needless to say, I really don't want to buy from them again. There IS a few 150,000 mile P47 blocks in there, and a 5 spd. But they quoted me 100 just for the short block, and 80 for the trans., on a "50% off" day. Which is what they should be @ everyday. God I hate Pick Your Part. That's the name of the place. Link to comment
SickDrift
This is why I only shop at pick yer part on the half off days. I scout the day before, hide the good stuff in lame american vehicles and get it the next day for half price. Other wise I avoid te joint. I think you can get beter quality parts at other yards for not much more. Link to comment

agentalpha
Even if he gives me a killer deal, the shipping would destroy the benefit. Found a N/A P47/F54 engine and 5 speed in a yard... Let's see if they're there when I get the chance to go back... Like 3 weeks:mad:  Link to comment

agentalpha
A local guy just offered his 2.8L. Sounds like a killer deal, removed for V8. Even pro built close ratio 5 spd. Wish me luck... Link to comment
