paradime
I’m getting ready to start running E85 in my SR20DET, and have decided to swap the stock coils to GM LS2 truck coil packs. I just did some head work and will be pushing boost a few more psi, so getting a stronger spark will expand the tuning options. I’ve got the coils and pigtail, Waiting on the spark plug wire kit. If you’ve done this swap, I’d really like to know how you bridged the plugs bypassing the igniter chip. I want to keep the plugs in tact, so I can swap back if need be. Also, how/where did you mount the coils. I tried to fab an aluminum bracket that would set them just above the plugs, but once I started cutting the openings to mount them, the 3/8” plate became too flimsy. Any input would be much appreciated. Quote Link to comment
DrRocks0
Just need to take out the ignitor, and use the existing ignitor inputs as the new trigger (5v) for the coil pack. The coil packs will have a a common 12v power, a 5v signal, and 2 grounds. quick google search.... Quote Link to comment
DISLEXICDIME
Order some plugs from wiring specialties so you can make it plug and play. I was going to do mine like this http://nissanroadracing.com/showthread.php?t=2972 Quote Link to comment
