NC280z
Good evening all! So the OEM camshaft I ordered finally arrived, however it's missing the cam sprocket location dowel. I've searched the forum, internet and the FSM and can't locate a part number for a new dowel or even a factory-prescribed method on removing/installing the dowel. The best I've seen is to just get a dowel and tap it into place. I'm just curious to see if any of you have removed/installed dowel pins on L-series camshafts before, and could give me a size or part # so I can start sourcing one now in preparation for installing it this weekend. If I can get this pin and install my cam I should have a running Z by Sunday, and it's been too long since I had it on the road. Any help will be appreciated, as always. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
L series cam dowel 13032-18000 about a buck from the dealer. Used in all L, Z, VG, J, A, CA, maybe more. Still being used in 2004 or later Quote Link to comment
NC280z
Thank you kindly! I called a local dealer with the part number, and will be getting the dowel this Friday for about $2. This definitely saved another possible weekend from being wasted, thanks again. Quote Link to comment
