Brevlin
So I'm from Australia and looking at purchasing a 240z, problem is that the parts are so difficult to find at a good price. I've been wanting to buy a cheap 240 and then build the car the way I want it. Just thinking if its cheaper to buy a low quality $600 280zx as a doner car and just use the parts from there.Does the 280zx share many of the same parts as a 240z or would I be wasting my time/money? Ranman72
wasting time and money the only real parts usable would be motor and tranny no body parts will fit Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
ZX is a totally different car. 240 or bust. 1 Quote Link to comment
devilsbullet
...no body panels would fit, but not a waste of time and money at 600 bucks. All depends on if the usable parts are in decent shape. Motor, tranny if it's 5 speed suspension, brakes differential. And all the parts needed for swapping them are upgrades that fit from a zx to a z.and all of that will cost you 600 here in the pnw where datto parts are plentiful. In Australia its probably much worse Quote Link to comment
