smashboogie
Hi there, Got a set (4) of these wheels. 14" Campagnolo (1973-ish) One of them says 'made for Datsun/Toyota' but my cousin says they were replicas of Pantera wheels... They are apparently made of magnesium, which are no longer legal to make? Thinking of putting them on ebay but have no clue if/what a reserve should be. anyone got a clue? thanks for the help Mark Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Brand new Watanabe magnesium wheels14" are $500 each. New American Racing wheel are $200 each at Summit. Vintage Engineering also sells a variety of new magnesium wheels. If you get those inspected and crack checked and the come out OK maybe worth $250 each. Without testing $25 each. Radim
Campagnolo actually made the Detomaso Pantera wheels, both generations. You can make about a thousand to the right buyer.Magnesium isn't Illegal to make a couple of wheels are still made with magnesium. Quote Link to comment
graveltrapp
Campy made lots of wheels for lots of cars. They should be closly inspected due to the nature of magnesium to be a bit brittle. I would sell with the understanding that the buyer address the final inspection after the purchase. Buyer Beware. Quote Link to comment
Dantheman
Always liked the look of this era wheel. Reminds me of the Dino chairs and flares wheel Quote Link to comment
JoeCool
Definitely not illegal. They were a $3000 option on Corvettes from 99-04. Quote Link to comment
