M240Z
I'm updating the front suspension the front suspension on my 240z. I was wondering how to get the steering knuckles off my old ball joints so I can put them on my new ones? I tried hammering them off but no luck. Also do the steering knuckles have seals I should be worried about? Quote Link to comment
70 goon
No seals. Just need to hit them in the right place to "shock" the ball joint loose. Easiest to do while still on the car. You can also use a ball joint separator but they usually wreck the ball joint boot. Quote Link to comment

q-tip
Do you have the knuckles off of the struts too? Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
There hundreds of different cheap tools to do that job , i put pressure on end of joint bolt , hold a something solid against one side of knuckle and rap other side with hammer it usually pops right off / out. Quote Link to comment
