Dr. Octagon
so.... are all the r180 half shafts the same size? from 240z through to 280z? also are the right and left side identical? Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
I'm no Z expert as I'm just now getting into them myself, but I'm pretty sure the R180 was only 240-260Z? And then the R200 came in. (Although it's possible the R200 was S130, not S30) All R180 should be the same length, however bear in mind that an R160 diff is narrower then an R180, and has longer halfshafts, and the R200 is wider so it has shorter halfshafts. I am not aware of any different length R180 halfshafts, unless some of the models OTHER then the Z that used an R180 might have had a longer/shorter shaft Hope that helps.EDIT: I found some information here. http://www.ratdat.com/?p=292 http://www.geocities.com/inlinestroker/ratio.html Quote Link to comment
Dr. Octagon
well I have discovered that they are in fact all the same for the r180. I have also discovered that I will keep blowing them apart untill I upgrade to a r200 diff with cv joints. Then I will probably blow something else up. Quote Link to comment
