Looking for a solid, straight, fairly complete car/chassis with a clean title. No Rot or mad quantities of Bondo, please. Bonus if 2.8L/5spd conversion(running or not). Will tow if @ S.F. agentalpha Posted October 4, 2008 Author Report Share Posted October 4, 2008 It's a PITA. I'm going to look at one Sunday. Guy just called me back on a PROJECT car, has some rust holes. Although it IS a '71, with a 2.8L and 5spd in it already.... Non running, missing important stuff, like the distributor.:blink: Wish me luck, that it is worth towing from Sunnyvale to Hayward. Problem is, I'm looking for a SOLID, PROJECT car, as I plan on rebuilding, replacing, modifying nearly every part. I don't really want to spend all that money on something I'll have to yank and sell the original engine and trans out of. I'll be losing money that way,and ruining a classic, even though the one looks like a nice car. And the cost, renting a truck, fuel, to TOW a project 150 miles? :eek:!!! I know I'm being picky, but there HAS to be what I'm looking for @ the Bay... Link to comment
