no power issues with my 78 620

Check your battery ground too.  I was having an issue with my main lead ground, would have no power to truck.  Kinda same issue.  I would drive it.  Park, then come out and no power.  Replaced my ground off battery and haven't had an issue since.

 

Could be a million other things too!

Don't replace anything yet. Figure out what's wrong and fix it if you can.

 

No power? Is battery charged or dead???

 

 

If battery is charged.... Clean the battery posts and clean and tighten the battery cables. Be sure to check the negative cable where it bolts to the head is tight and clean. 

 

If headlights work the fusible link is fine and there should be power to the fuse box and the ignition switch. If headlights don't work possibly the fusible link is bad.
