Hello! I'm new to here, been browsing a lot but this is my first post so sorry if this was already covered... somewhere I couldn't find it.

I swapped an 81 engine for an 84 and have wires I do not know where they connect to.

Three colors red, blue and black and white.

Also suggestions on how to post... correctly?

One each for the negative terminals on the coil and one power wire. The forth wire if equipped, was to de activate the exhaust plugs and stop them firing under load. A manifold vacuum switch was used for this. The distributor module also advances the timing during single plug operation to compensate for the longer burn time. If the forth wire is unplugged nothing happens and it runs normally on both coils.

Here's a 4 wire. The White wire is grounded to disable the exhaust plugs.
