Shortbed vs longbed

If you have the two complete chassis, then swap the shorter driveshaft and e brake cables onto the shortened frame. Gas and brake lines would need to be dealt with. The front bed (or tray) mounts will need to be removed and moved back about 10" on the frame in order to bolt to the shorter box? (going from poor memory)

Thanks datzenmike - but the reference to two chassis is that they are both long base ones. SWB very very uncommon here in NZ.

Thanks for the info about the tray mounts.

So list:

Remove 9.5 inches from straight part of chassis just rear of cab & reweld

Shorten drive shaft 9.5 inches

Shorten brake cable

Shorten brake lines

Swap fuel tanks + shorten fuel lines

shorten or (coil wiring)

move front tray mounts back 9.5 inches?
