Back in a Datsun at last

So its been awhile since I've owned a Datsun. Got to looking around for a truck and ran across a 1980 720 Kingcab for $500. Ad said it had a smashed nose and blown headgasket. I went and checked it out and brought it home. Turns out the guy put a new radiator in it after kissing the rear end of a jeep. He put the lower hose on backwards, pinching it causing it to run hot. I spent a weekend installing a new headgasket and doing some patching on the front end.

So other than needing a hood, grille and front bumper its in really good shape. Not a bad buy for $500.

Thats a great $500 truck. Looks damn clean other than the little bit of fixable damage.

Sweetest part of the deal was brand new tires and radiator. It does have some rust, but nothing that can't be fixed. Oh yea, 103,888 miles when I bought it.

that upper hose looks kinda kinked too.... might want to shorten it a bit....

Already replaced it. Took those pics before doing the head gasket job.
