The engine had some very advanced technology considering the time it was produced 100mm stroke 3 main bearing crankshaft, 83mm bore deck height of 268mm semi-floating pistons (.0001" interference fit on piston(not a typo), .001-.0018 clearance on the connecting rod to wrist pin) massive 26mm wrist pins piston squirters at bottom of bores integral oil cooler on the side of the block.
