mhub91 Posted July 4, 2013 Author Report Share Posted July 4, 2013 2 bolts per side. bumper definitely was dismounted from chassis..... but there is this thing that literally looks like a gas strut/shock that inhibits the bumper from coming loose from the car. the strut looking thing is mounted somewhere inside the frame rails. I'm unfamiliar with how this fucker is mounted! driving me nuts! Quote Link to comment
B210GX Posted July 4, 2013 Report Share Posted July 4, 2013 Jack up the car , add jackstands(ALWAYS) crawl under the car and unbolt them from the side of the subframe rail. 17 mm end wrench beside the fuel tank.. Assuming you have a coupe.. if your profile is correct? It is a shock absorber... to limit damage to the car in a 5mph accident, hence the big bumpers on our Americanized / Japanese cars Quote Link to comment
