bryant2482 Posted June 1, 2013 Report Share Posted June 1, 2013 i was changing the oil on a 97 hardbody today and after i changed the oil and put fresh stuff in i went to start it and the idle was very rough. it would stay steady for about 10 seconds then it would drop and keep doing it, it never died on me though. has this happened to anyone else before? darrel Posted June 1, 2013 Report Share Posted June 1, 2013 Did it clear up? If it did then I would suggest heat soak. You ran it to warm the oil up, let it sit 15 minutes while changing oil. Maybe the newer engines aren't as prone to heat soak, but I have had my share of problems with my zxt. Quote Link to comment
