want to use 14'' rims

got a full set of 14'' crome rims but what size ties should i get so it won't throw off my speedo

I assume this is for your 521? They came stock with 14" rims so just throw stock tires on them.

 

521 had 6.00 x 14 tires this is equivalent to today's 175/70R14 and that makes them 6.89" wide and 23.65" tall. Have to assume the rim is 6.5 or so.

 

If your replacement rims are wider and you want to avoid 'stretched' tires then...

 

175/70 R 14s are same height but 6.89" wide

 

185/65 R 14s are same height but 7.28" wide

 

190/65 R 14s are same height but 7.48" wide

 

200/60 R 14s are the same height but 7.87" wide

 

205/60 R 14s are the same height but 8.07" wide

 

220/55 R 14s are the same height but 8.66" wide.

 

225/55 R 14s are the same height but 8.86" wide.

 

240/50 R 14s are the same height but 9.45" wide.

 

 

All of the above are within .2" of the same height as the stock tire and the speedo will be unaffected.

thanks for the list... i saw some 14'' rubber at wally world for 65 bucks a pop but didn't wanna end up w/them to short or to tall
