Randy,s 68 510 LED guages

Recommended Posts

so I decided that the old dark cant see stock gauges had to have somthing done

I have read all these LED light swap posts but didnt want to take apart and remove all of the stock colored bulbe covers

So I bought these 5 light LED dash replacement bulbs and here are the results

Now I can see the Gauges but one thing I had a problem with is the alternator light wouldnt go out untill I reved it a bit and then it would turn off and stay off , so I left the standard 168 bulb in that location

Remember this is only a LED bulb swap I didnt remove any origional compoents from the dash

and I used all white lights that are 5 LED 168 replacement bulbs

That's normally what I do as well. Just replace the bulbs with some from superbrightleds.com

I removed one of those green covers this go around, didn't notice much of a difference in brightness really.  Def can tell the difference between regular and LED tho. So nice seeing your gauges at night. Even replacing the regular bulbs with new regular bulbs doesn't really help   I replace all the lights in my cars now with the LED ones.
