CameronT
I am looking to go lower in the front, And I am wondering at 280k body miles, am I gonna have issues with any part of the drivline, or rearend? And how many clicks do I turn to go about 3/4 inch? I had this professionally done and am wanting to go lower now, and what way do I need to turn it to go lower? Link to comment
izzo
the torsion bars you just adjust the bolt/nut on the end. Only re-index if you NEED to. Then one spline should be enough. That's a lot of miles. Replace bearings on the front, bushings too. Replace rear bearings, or have someone do it (a lot easier) replace U joints, replace carrier bearing. If you go to low, you will need to raise the carrier bearing. Or just get a one piece drive shaft made, best bet there! You can use 720 4x4 rear leaf springs and achieve a better drop in the rear end. not as tall of drop blocks needed. You will have to play with the torsion bar bolts to figure out how low to go. just adjust a little, drop, jump on the front to make them "Set" or settle in.. then re-measure to see if you got that 3/4 inch. Once you adjust torsion bars you will need a toe adjustment. Link to comment
CameronT
I only did a 3 inch drop all around and do the drive lines have a certain angle they have to be at? Link to comment
datzenmike
Type "Adjusting Torsion Bars" into our search function and start reading. There are pictures, how to and info on drive shaft angles. Link to comment
