78 RS LT Camaro

Recommended Posts

Well finally got my camaro back down to my place. About to start swapping a 350 sbc with 327 double hump heads, 202cc intake valves and 195cc exhaust valves, bought tge heads with the big valves never checked to see if they were milled or ported, also gonna be putting an edelbrock performer intake manifold on there among others things, motor will be mated to a 700r4 with a 1500 stall lockup converter. All this should give it more kick then the 2barrel 305 and f*cked th350 its got. Only issue im having now is im not sure what size carb to run, ive got a 450cfm holley carb but i really id be better off with a thats atleast 600cfm.

...202cc intake valves and 195cc exhaust valves...

^^How did you come up with that number?^^

1500 is pretty much a stock stall speed.  I wouldn't consider it a performance improvement.  It won't launch any harder than your TH350.

600cfm is a pretty safe all-around carb size on a mild 350.

...And I can't see your pics.

On the motor basically repeating what i was told by my mechanic head wise, the valve's were big and it had the right marks on the head, didnt do any of my own measurements, i was originally gonna keep it stock but the motor and heads were $750 bolted together with news gaskets and seals. The converter is basically stock yeah, i bought it new for the 700r4, never had any intention of pulling the 305 til i got this motor.
