Rays74 Posted April 16, 2013 Report Share Posted April 16, 2013 Hi D4L, Because of the combo you are dealing with.......L16 and A87 CC head.....ANY cam that will give you that rumpy rump sound is going to adversely affect any low end torque that little '16 may have been able to muster :(. Because your head (even being closed chamber) has lowered the compression already, any performance grind will actually reduce pumping even further UNTIL the engine starts breathing a bit at high rpm. Around town though fugetaboutit. I have the exact same combo in my wagon but with a little stock L16 cam (210) and it's decent all around....but by no means able to support a cam change beyond the stock L20B stick WITHOUT a compression increase. --Ray Quote Link to comment
