cruznude
Alright, I was hit and the other person totally ruined my front end on my 79kc. I cut another off at u-pull-it and I need to put it all back on. Is it okay to use steel pop rivits to get the back against the firewall? I can spot weld all under the fender area but nowhere else. Is there another way to go? Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
I've heard of people bolting the front end together. Quote Link to comment
cruznude
Yea, American made older vehicles were all bolt onand so convienant. The Japs thrive on perfection. I'll look at getting some aircraft fasteners from a friend and see what they'll look like sionce they'll never be seen under the wheel and under the carpet kit. Let you know what happens. Taking the front end in today to get sand blasted. Its only 40.00 prime it this weekend and re-paint. Thanks for the input and let you know how it goes alright? Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
You will want to use a lot of fasteners. At least as many as the spot welds originally holding the front end on. Quote Link to comment
cruznude
I just got it back from sandblasting and gonna prime this weekend. Aircraft fasteners are real good and small. I'll take a look and see which is the way. Thanks for input. Quote Link to comment
