Bandit
I realize I have made quite a few threads I apologize, im still learning >.<So I have a stock L16 with a BW 3 Speed Auto and when I give it gas it stutters for a second before going. When the cars not fully warmed up this leads to a stalled car and when its fully warmed up it just leads to a delay before it goes.I cant tell if its just hesitating or if the trans just cant decide on a gear. Other than this the car runs fine. Any input? Thanks again everyone! Quote Link to comment
RacnJsn95
Possibly the accelerator pump on the carb is shot? That's what gives it that instant shot of fuel to accelerate when you give er the meat. That's the first thing that comes to mind. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I agree. The fuel for the idle circuit is not enough to transition from idle to full throttle. A sudden opening of the carb drops the manifold vacuum and the motor isn't spinning fast enough to pull air through the carb and it goes very lean and stutters. The accelerator pump manually squirts in raw fuel to richen it up till it can get going. I don't know if you can buy them separate or you have to buy a complete carb rebuild kit. If you can, let me know I need a couple. Lordco, NAPA maybe Quote Link to comment
Bandit
I have a spare Hitachi that could use a good cleaning so maybe ill see if the one from the spare works any better. If not I would rather just go buy a Weber than pro-long the death of the stock Hitachi  Quote Link to comment
