Tension rod bushings/washers

Anyone know the proper installation sequence on the 510 tension rod bushings/washers?

My bushings were pretty much toast for reference....but...I think they are supposed to be installed with the flat face of the bushing towards the frame????? As setup below

The washer placement......?

Washers cupping the bushing...bottom of pic

Or.....the cupped washers facing away from the bushings?...top of pic

I'm leaning towards the cup(s) away from the bushing....just because one washer is 'fused' to the rod...lol

But who knows...could of been incorrectly re-installed years ago.

Fused washer on left....bushing on right will be 'rotated'

I am thinking round/conical side towards the bushing. That will give it maximum ability to not bind as it moves through its travel range and stress an already highly stressed part of our cars. The hard aluminum and delrin kits are cupped to allow for this same motion.
