pgDatsuns are rare out here, my son found this 85 jeep with new engine , transmission and transfer case . He stole it for 1400 bucks. Oh and tires only have 5000 miles on them.

I had to replace the alternator today. But it is a solid gas guzzler.

Best thing is this should be a safe reliable vehicle for him, even if it doesn't sip gas like a Datsun.

He just had to have it, I told him 8 mpg would sting. I must admit I have never worked on an amc , it is a frankenstien truck. Gm aleternator , ford starter and carb. Steering column is gm. Dome light is ford . Neat truck but its thirsty

those wagoneers are good rigs, have a 76, when it did run it ran damn well! the amc 360's are pretty much a boat anchor, so if it ever goes, put a small block chevy in it, if it has the turbo 400 like most do it has a dual boltpattern on it so it will bolt up to a 350 and a 360

Nice rig, dont let him see the gladiator grille...  make them look more tough.  even though that one was not completely removed from the box  ( wood grain)

 

Its almost a direct bolt on.   couple of holes to drill. How ever they are not cheap. I was buuying them at the local bone yards for $50-75   then ebaying them for $500+

 

This one here pictured has had the inner "pie plates" altered to fit some lights...  this is just a random pic I found online

gladiator grilles on the waggy's are badass! i know where a gladiator is sitting, and been throwin that around in my head forever, gotta get it runnin first :P
