sedan20
I've encountered a problem with my brake conversion peoples! ive been keeping a close eye on CL over the past week or so locally, but to no avail. i wanna rock 15" steelies from a 240sx, or equivalent with RWD offset and 4x114 bolt pattern.. OR pick up some nice lipped wheels that dont need spacers when i bolt them onto my 280ZX brake conversion. basically its to achieve this look (below) but with beauty rings and white walls by "portowalls"... 195 50 15 tires will do, but i need to get the rims first. i EVENTUALLY want to achieve this dimension wheel. ggzilla
Those look like 240SX wheels. But as you found out, they are using a FWD offset. All the usual 4-on-4.5 wheels (Volvo, Honda) have similar offsets. If you want 15s with "lip" (dish) i suggest ordering custom wheels. Link to comment
sedan20
the rims i bought have the wrong bolt pattern otherwise id be prepping them for use right now... i just cant... the ones in the above picture are 240sx steelies... id like those... even painted gloss black with portowalls would be satisfactory... i just need something to roll on and 240sx seems to be the way to go... anyone have steelies? Tristin
Have you tried going to the local junkyard? They usually have quite a stock pile of rims that they remove from cars they bring in. Link to comment
ggzilla
The 240SX steelies have no lip, they are +40mm offset. Just like a FWD car. I'm not aware of any stock steelies in 15" with 4-on-4.5 pattern that have less offset. Link to comment
Tristin
Hyundai Elantra rims have less offset I believe... Its been awhile since I removed the hubcaps on my girlfriends car, but Im pretty sure they have less offset and I know they are 15s. Link to comment
ggzilla
He doesn't want more offset. He want more "lip". Link to comment
Tristin
He doesn't want more offset. He want more "lip". I edited my post... it was a mistype. I believe the Elantra wheels have more lip. 1 Link to comment
ggzilla
Yes, some Hyundai wheels have +35 offset. The center hole can be bored out to fit Nissan hubs if needed (some Nissan are 66.1mm and some are 70mm). Link to comment
Tristin
I have used the girlfriends Elantra wheels on my 510 before so I know it should fit fine. its a 2004. 1 Link to comment
