datzenmike
Did you adjust the steering box lately? Quote Link to comment
raulravega
not yet. that was my next step Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Steering gear wear is mostly in the center or straight ahead position and less at full lock. If you adjust the gear lash in the center where all the wear is it will too tight on the turn positions. Be sure to have both wheels up off the ground when making adjustments to the box.Turn the wheel quickly from lock to lock feeling for any tight spots. If there is, slacken off the adjustment slightly. Usually a box wears and becomes loose not tighter. Inspect the idler arm. may need grease or is worn out. Raise the front and turn lock to lock, looking for any steering part rubbing anything else. This could simply be a piece of tree branch jammed up in there. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
sometimes this happens after fitting too large.tires but more likely the steering.linkage is very worn, or damaged Quote Link to comment
