510: 280zx master cylinder install/swap ?

So I'm in the middle of swapping out my master cylinder since I'm upgrading to 280zx struts/calipers but have a question about the stock push rod. I running stock rear drums with the 7/8th's MC

The stick rod was "e-cliped" in the stock MC and the new 280 looks like it just rests in there? Been searching and searching but no luck.

What are you guy using or doing for the push rod on this set up?

Written more for the trucks, but it should work fine for your 510.
